Apartment Building Gloggnitz
A new apartment building containing twelve units was erected in the Franz Binder-Gasse in town Gloggnitz. The modern residential building connects its residents by a community room with an adjoined terrace on the ground floor. The two residential floors above are built as solid construction, and they provide a balcony for each residential unit.
The residential building without basement was erected using a strip foundation on a load-bearing soil. The supporting walls are made of brick and reinforced concrete. The floor slabs are made from reinforced concrete element ceilings. The horizontal structural bracing of the building is provided by the core of the staircase and the wall panels, which also function as partition walls between the apartments. Semi-prefabricated elements were used to erect the balconies which are adjoined to each apartment.
The developer of the apartment building is Gemeinnützige Wohnungs- und Siedlungsgenossenschaft Neunkirchen reg. Gen. mbH. The architectural design was created by the architect Elke Mitteregger. DWP ZT GmbH was in charge of the structural design. DWP ZT GmbH, which is member of the Woschitz Group, implemented the project based on its continuous supervision.
