Seebenstein’s New Living Space
The municipality of Seebenstein increased its living space by 36 residential units. A complex consisting of a residential building and terraced houses was added on the main road. The complex was built in two construction phases. It includes an underground car park with space for 24 cars. The car park is not overbuilt.
The terraced houses do not provide basements, and they are built using strip foundations as a foundation. The storeys of the residential building were built in solid construction. The load-bearing walls are made from brick or reinforced concrete. The floor slabs are made from reinforced concrete element ceilings. The horizontal bracing of the building is provided by the staircases and the wall panels, which also create the partition walls between the apartments. The last storey is set back to leave some space for terraces for the adjoint apartments. The apartments on the lower floors are equipped with balconies which were built using semi-prefabricated elements.
The site owner of the residential complex was WET – Wohnbaugruppe Service GmbH.. Rupert Weber developed the architectural design. The structural design was provided by the DWP ZT GmbH, a member of the Woschitz Group.
