Construction of a lake restaurant
In the Burgenland market town of Andau, the Tauber Restaurant was rebuilt on the shore of the bathing lake. This also includes various rooms required for the bathing operations of the lake.
In the case of the restaurant, the main roof was constructed in a very short time using prefabricated wooden elements and glued laminated timber binders. For the cloakroom wing, cantilevered hollow planks were used as final ceilings. The load is transferred to the subsoil via fully precast concrete columns and solid walls of reinforced concrete or brick masonry.
From the ground-breaking ceremony to completion only six months were needed.
The client of the newly renovated restaurant was the OSG Oberwarter Gemeinnützige Bau- und Siedlungsgenossenschaft. The architectural office Thell Bau GmbH was responsible for the architectural design. Woschitz Engineering ZT GmbH contributed with its services in the field of structural design and construction supervision according to BauKG. It is a member of the Woschitz group GmbH.
