Award Ceremony of the Clusterland Award
On November 5th, 2019 the award ceremony took place at the Raiffeisen Forum Vienna. The “Clusterland Award” is the highest-ranked Lower Austrian Award for successful economic cooperation. The prize was awarded the eighth time. It is given to the most outstanding cooperation projects in Lower Austria.
This year, the ecoplus Bau.Energie.Umwelt Cluster Lower Austria nominated the project “BIM-Süd”. Six companies located in Southern Lower Austria were partners of this cooperation. DWP ZT GmbH was one of these cooperation partners. It was in charge of the structural design and the creation of a 3D model. The project dealt with interfaces for data exchange by applying it to a real-life project, the Schwarzenbach residential building in Bucklige Welt. The interfaces were defined and implemented during the whole construction process. The developer of the project was the Gemeinnützige Wohnungs- und Siedlungsgenossenschaft Neunkirchen reg. Gen. mbH, SGN for short. The cooperation in the data exchange pool was implemented between the developer, the architect, the planer of the house technique plan for electric, heating and sanitation, the structural designer and the executing companies.
The award ceremony was attended by Provincial Minister Petra Bohuslav, Reinhard Karl, Deputy General Manager of the RLB NÖ-Wien, and Helmut Miernicki, Managing Director at ecoplus. Niederösterreichs Wirtschaftsagentur GmbH. The project “Tex2Mat”, a novel procedure for recycling textile waste containing mixed fabrics, won the public vote.
The team representing the project “BIM-Süd” was present at the award ceremony. It was represented by Michaela Smertnig, Cluster Manager at Bau.Energie.Umwelt Cluster NÖ, Martin Huber, Project Manager at Bau.Energie.Umwelt Cluster NÖ, Gottfried Markom, Architekt, Mario Kubista, Head of the Project Development at Wienerberger Ziegelindustrie GmbH, Hanspeter Schachinger, BIMCOS e.U., Erich Reindl and Katja Leithner, both employees of Baumit GmbH. DWP ZT GmbH was represented by Thomas Oberger, its authorised officer.
