The topping-out ceremony was held at the new Pinkafeld campus of the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences, a milestone for the state's largest infrastructure project. On an area larger than two football fields, nine buildings are being built for around 1,000 students, featuring modern lecture halls, laboratories, a library, a cafeteria, and common areas.
Through the use of geothermal and photovoltaic energy, the required energy will be generated primarily from renewable sources in the future. The architectural design, with clearly structured buildings and green courtyards, creates not only an inspiring learning environment but also a high quality of stay.
The topping-out ceremony was held in the presence of numerous representatives from politics, education, and business. We are delighted to be able to contribute to this groundbreaking project with our building physics department, a strong example of sustainable, innovative, and energy-efficient construction in the educational sector.
